EUGENE, Ore. - The Eugene-Springfield NAACP hosted a health fair Saturday to help bridge the gap to healthcare.

Inside the Clear Lake Community Center, there were a number of free healthcare screenings and vans for those needing the resources and services. The event offered a free dental van and eye and cancer screenings.

"This is like a start of a great relationship whether or not they don't seek the preventative healthcare or if they have just a fear or an anxiety for it, the resources are here for you so we can connect you with someone that can advocate with you that can be a voice with you that can ensure that you're being heard," Lange said.

The health fair also had a diaper bank with community outreach booths for those in the BIPOC community.
